Ambodivona, December 11h, 2014. Andry Rajoelina, Former President of Transition
First of all, the celebration of the IVth Republic constitutes an event important for the whole Malagasy people. The reason is there that the Malagasies aspire to the development; every Malagasy, without exclusive, wishes profoundly a change in his daily round.
But I notice with bewilderment, at present, that even the date-birthday of this IVth Republic was not declared holiday, supposed date to have marked the radical change which would have of be established in the Nation. The leaders of moment degraded it, they threw in dungeon the efforts and the sacrifices that the people made and makes so that this new Republic can exist.
It is frankly that I dare to assert that the Malagasy people are profoundly disappointed at present. The people is sad; tears and sadness summarize his real-life experience. But, today, I am delighted to notice that in spite of differences of vision; in spite of different ideologies, we gave us the hand, we felt the need to help us to raise this country. Because the Homeland is crowned. And it is for these reasons that it was essential to us to celebrate the date of December 11th, in spite of the amnesia of some who have the vague desire to erase it of the History.
If it is Andry Rajoelina whom you hate, the question is not there. But if it is the people whom we degrade, that have him draft for a nobody, it is unacceptable and we have the duty to go to the mat.
As regards the national reconciliation: she cannot either succeed or even be made on hypocrisy. When the heart is hardened, when the spirit is clouded, when the patriotism is absent at the people who make a commitment in this national reconciliation, it will be only pursuit of the wind.
The call which I want to throw - especially to all the people come in answer to the invitation which was sent to them - is this: it is necessary to consider essentially the Nation; it is essential to focus on the people. Here are the only foundations which will allow us to move forward on this road (Editor's note: allusion also to the evangelic song, " Iny lĂ lana iny ", become hymn of the orange revolution, recently scoffed publicly by president Hery Rajaonarimampianina).
Those who think that this road is situated behind be badly wrong. A road is always outlined on the horizon and she cannot be hijacked, diverted, unless wanting to turn to rush directly in an abyss, if you do not follow the plan of this road.
